The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a standardized, timed test that is used to determine student academic capabilities for accurate curriculum placement in high, schools.
HSPT Format
HSPT practice test is a multiple-choice assessment for the admissions and scholarship selection of High schools. It is a 1 hour 50 minutes assessment test. HSPT assesses students’ Verbal, Quantitative and Reading, and Language skills. There is no plenty for wrong answers; scores are determined by the number of questions you have answered correctly.
Mathematical Assessment
The Mathematical section is 45 minutes long and consists of 64 multiple-choice questions. HSPT Math assesses student skills and knowledge of Arithmetic, Basic Algebra, and Geometry.
Verbal Assessment
The verbal assessment section of the test covers the area of Analogies, Logic-based questions, Synonyms, and Acronyms, and Verbal classifications.
Reading Assessment
The HSPT Reading part acquires knowledge about students Reading aptitude for humanities, nonfiction, and narrative passages to analyze their meaning and answer the multiple-choice questions.
Quantitative Assessment
In the Quantitative Assessment part of HSPT students have to show their mastery in using mathematics skills to solve real-world problems. HSPT Assessment comprises an area of Number Series, Geometric and non-Geometric comparisons, and number manipulations.
Language Skill Assessment
Language skill determines knowledge of student concepts about grammar, spelling and sentence structure, and essay composition.
